We need to discuss the main problem of points system involving 3 ally or more in siege. The problem is the third guild always falls behind with points and gives up in the middle of siege.
 
yes I do, I wanna see again the scoring system :D
Back then CS was nice knowing who's leading and whose left behind.
considering who are early to come and seal rather than coming late and just seal the last seal.

Hmm Venci, then in this case there must be something that motivates allies which falls behind with points. I have few ideas but i dont know if it can be done, so, ideas without backbones.

1) As I said, there must be something motivates allies in point system and must keep competition from begining till end. OF course, ally that didnt prepared well deserves lose from begining till the end. But if you registered for CS battle, you better be prepared if there is point system. First idea is, reset of points after a limit of point. Which ally reaches that point limit first, will get 1 Score point, 1 Goal, you name it. That point must not be higher and can be reach in max 30-45 mins. Then it will be reseted and guilds will try to collect points from begining. It is like winner of Duel will not be chosen with 1 round but 2-3 rounds. That might motivate allies to play better and win next Goals. That will give them chance to figure their mistakes up and will make better strategy and know if they must attack like a tiger or they just play like previous. For example, reset limit is 1000 points.
1st place: 1000
2nd place: 800
3rd place 600
4th place 500
2nd place one will figure things out that, they played well but not that much. So they can play well this time and might score goal. 3rd , 4th place might lack of members in 1st reset, maybe their members comes to online now and they will start to dominate. This might not look different than older one, but neah this is psychological effect. If someone things there is second, third, fourth chance for them, they wont give up, but instead they will be better threat now.
There might be a bug that, lets say points reseted and there is 10 mins till CS ends. No way for any ally to score 1000 points. So, in 10mins which ally scores higher points, that will get a goal.

2) Second idea is similar to first one. Phase system. Round system - you name it. Each Phase is 30 mins. Which ever ally scored highest points in a phase will get 1 Score, 1 Goal. Then second phase will start, again highest score one will win that phase. So, after 4 Phases winner of CS will be chosen. Again the same reason what this system works for.


So, as I said, this is an idea without back bone and many bugs can be find in it. Like, what if there is 2 ally both with 2Goals at the end? Which one will be the winner? CS must be expanded for another Phase for this two? With Phase system, it can be solves like, at the end between these two allies, which one scored highest score at sum of their winning Phase points. But with 1st suggestion, it is hard.

If discussed well, another 10x better ideas can come in minds. In worst case, for to keep competition between allies, allying limit must decrease to 2. Let there be less guilds in ally without single deactive members in. Players always play for what system asks from them for to be a winner. Lets one ally be with 2 guilds in it. If they are CS player guilds, then let Guild Masters recruit members if they will sure be online in CS.
 
each 20min highest points ally should get the crown after that points should reset and everyone needs to accumulate again,like that everyone will fight till end of cs

also who has the crown maybe to get few points more each minute

I voted for Point System CS.


For me the current CS is:
1st half= boring , 2nd half= gradually gets more exciting.

Point System CS is:
1st half = exciting, 2nd half = depends on the point difference could be really exciting (if point gap is close ) or really boring (if point gap is too far)

I haven't really tried that one yet but in paper it looks good, it resembles some sport events like Basketball (or any point system for that matter).
This kind of CS will make the first seals be MORE meaningful thus defending the seal will more more exciting because it will be worthwhile to defend the seal at all cost on the first hour of CS (since the first hour of CS for me is really just plain boring), though this would make it boring for others who are behind the score since they will lose motivation to even participate because they will know that they have no chance of winning because of the points difference. But from there, we can think of new ideas that can help fix that problem (like Abesta's idea)

The idea I have in mind to fix this huge point gap problem is this:

The only way to get a point is by successfully sealing the crown (since this is really the goal of castle siege) by doing this, even if you held the crown for an hour, that would still be counted as 1 point. Current Castle Owner will automatically have 1 point by the start of the siege. Castle siege time will be 1 hour 45 minutes, and after that in case of a tie then the last 15 minutes will be for the tiebreaker (which still takes maximum 2 hours).

Tiebreaker mechanics options:
Option #1:
If after 1 hour and 45 minutes passed and there are x number of alliance with the same score then who had the highest score FIRST will win.

Option #2: a 15 minute extra Castle Siege
If after 1 hour and 45 minutes passed and there are x number of alliance with the same score then all players will be warped outside (like when someone successfully seals the crown) and the crown will be free (no one has the seal, more like CS is reset from the start). For 15 minutes, the alliances who have the same score will battle it out and get the crown, in case of another tie after the fifteen minute tiebreaker then who had the highest score FIRST from the 15 minute tiebreaker will win , in case no one gets a score in the tiebreaker period then who had the highest score FIRST from the 1 hour and 45 minute "normal" period will win.

From these kinds of ideas we can improve the CS point system. So share your ideas, even if you think it's just a small one it can help improve our system.

if the team reached the "X" score they needed to win why waiting for 1 hour and 45 min.

The chances of having a tie is really really rare with 3-2 attackers.

imma bump my suggestion again incase some haven't red it:

1.A mid week qualify system with point system.
Two Attackers One Defender 1 Hour Event.
Two Teams with Most Points fight in Sat for the Castle for 2 Hours.
(Point System).

2.Point system Sat Siege with 2 attackers and 1 Defender. (1 Hour).
Two Teams with most Points fight in next Sat for the Castle (2 Hours).
(Point System).

No Kill points.
Seal Points: 80.
Switch Points: 1 Every 8 sec.
Defender Points: 1 Every 4 sec.

Ofc i vote yes , because when we see activity and points for atack def,switch ,kilz etc ...then we go to the
conclusion with one ally dominates in cs , since actuall system makes cs boring cause many players afk then they wake up in last minutes.
Points system will makes cs more interesting cause all players will be active for collect points to own alliances.
 
Hi everyone, I'd like to give here my opinion about this pool.
Well, i really dont like Point System, its not cool, I think we have PVP time whole week for who wants to kill, in cs time you will need use your brains and make best strategy to win. Peoples complains about last mins seals but everyone can do the same, if you can't seal last min then you should learn more about seals and ask you guild to help you at crown. Thats my opinion.
I'd like to give example too, in futebol you win for what? for goals right? team with more goals win, but just same strong teams wins all times (Barcelona, Real Madri), they have best goals makers, so lets change, lets give points for kicks, pases, goals, launches and crossings, that would be cool? Of course no, what makes futebol good is that one team can have more ball pose, more shots on goal, more everything, but if other team make more goal or make goal in last times, doenst matter, wins who have more goals and this is the fun, that gives that cold in the belly to watch the game.
Thats same in castle siege, you need to build a strategy, you need to understand how game works, if you can't seal last mins because there's good defence you should learn more on how do seals and pratice more, if you can't hold switch for your master, you should pratice more on how to switch, and if you like to play on BK with full SD, you can help your switchers with skill, with buffs, you can kill switchers and you can help your master seal, if you dont know how to do it, pratice more.
Original system is perfect, there's is space for everything, for switchers, sealers, killers but i saw peoples dont put effort in learn how it is, to learn how game works in CS time and now they want point system because at least with point system they will know what to do, youtube and game is there for everyone, put some effort in learn about CS time then you might not agree with point system too.
 
Ill go for point system.. however, a few adjustment to guild capacity will make it better..

Hi sorry if that was a bit vague. What I mean by highest score is the highest achieved score in the CS time and not a "goal" score where you need to reach "x" score to win the CS.

For example:
Castle Siege time : 1:45
Defender - 3 points (3rd point was received @ CS time 1:30)
Attacker#1 - 3 points (3rd point was receive @ CS time 1:40)
Attacker#2 - 2 points
Attacker#3 - 1 point
Then in this case the defender will be the winner since he got the highest score first.

Not in my proposed system on my last post. Getting a tie there is highly probable.

None. Why give points if they didn't reach the goal? Think of it like basketball or football.

Usually the simple system would be more successful than too customized system like some of you guys suggested above. @Shinobi, most players won't get the idea and they won't like it. I'm sure because every new custom added to this server is something new, different and not well appreciated by majority, old school and classic, the known gameplay always been the favorite of season 3 lovers.

If we make it by points system - every seal brings your alliance 1 point. In the end the winner will be the one with most seals instead of who seal in last min. I think its better than seal in last min and win. There won't be points for holding the switch or kills. It's simple and might be successful. One of the problems with points system is that some players join 30-40min after siege started and some in the last mins. This must change for the CS points system to work.
