If its a point system make it 1 Defender and 1 attacker and increase the guild members capacity on all classes to 80.
i think it will be the most competitve CS this server ever had.
Everyone who say they want the point system in-case they actually played it or plan to play have to understand that the reason we wen't back too the old system is because the point gap btw the alliances was to big and caused players to leave in the middle because they had no chance.
The Fight on the sw caused a point gap cuz the smaller alliance took the sw but couldn't seal or took only 1 sw and inturrpted the fight.
We already discussed this in older topic the system won't work with 3 attackers and 1 Defender.
There is a reason the system work in 100x and thats because only 2 alliances Fight (1 Def 1 Attack).
I have 2 suggestions.
1.A mid week qualify system with point system.
Two Attackers One Defender 1 Hour Event.
Two Teams with Most Points fight in Sat for the Castle for 2 Hours.
2.Point system Sat Siege with 2 attackers and 1 Defender. (1 Hour).
Two Teams with most Points fight in next Sat for the Castle (2 Hours).
No Kill points.
Seal Points: 80.
Switch Points: 1 Every 8 sec.
Defender Points: 1 Every 4 sec.
After peaceful's explanation i change my mind. It would be good thing, not bad but not great. What if.. The sols register would be a mini CS with 1 hour like peaceful said and the maximum attackers would be atmost 4 and the winners of the thursday mini CS via point system will be qualified to a saturday CS with the nornal CS. The thursday CS winners will be declared if the top 1, 2, and 3 guilds with the highiest points will be the one to qualify for the saturday CS. And the saturday CS would be the same mechanics or nornal CS. This is to give what the community what they want about point system. And for me ita a good idea to have specially the dynamic CS we have here..
What???
Why mixing the 2 systems?
4 Attackers? With point system?? did u even read what i posted?
2 attackers and 1 def are more then enough to qualify point system.
There is no reason to start with point system and finish with normal CS.
Hi
they still continue with this issue of the castle siege because there no closed ? the same ones that voted continue commenting there are no new votes or new comment and this thread should be closed and thanks
Hi friends,
Please give your opinion what Castle Siege you would like to play with current system, last min switch winner or points system like we had released back in 2018 but many guilds did not used to it and we had to switch back to the original system. We had point system on the server for 2 months. About unique 8 sieges played in InfinityMU history but still players did not get used to it. However I want to hear current population about their opinion about this CS system.![]()
Point system will always be the better. Cases like losing ally will leave because of a huge gap, can give them a lesson, that they need to lower their pride and ally with a losing ally too, together they can be a big ally.
How can you compete for being the best when you only relies to last seal..
I would like to bring this idea back up in light. I still strongly believe, that this is the best possible course of action that will satisfy the majority of players. There are advantages and disadvantages to both, when you place them in comparison to one another. I have played CS only with sealing system and it was way back, like at least 3 years ago, haven't really played since. To be fair, points system actually might get me to join some of the Castle Sieges. There are many players that are strictly against points system, but I feel like that is because they simply fear changes, but why? Sealing still gives a lot of points. If attackers can't seal, ultimately it is pretty hard for them to actually win, especially when defenders guild are holding both switches for prolonged period of time. The time that defenders spend racking up points for simply defending is pretty huge, of course, given, that they successfully defend. I honestly don't like the last minute seal thing, but at the same time, from different perspective, it probably feels very nice for the attackers to seal in final minutes, because of course, that also shows skill.
I might have a suggestion that works for everyone. We simply switch up between both systems each month / each 3 months. That way everyone gets to play their favourite CS system. Of course, if master admin sir staff God bless more power RESiSTANT doesn't feel like it would be too much to keep switching between both systems from time to time. It's just in this way even players who are against the point system would participate at some point and might start to enjoy this system, while still having a chance to play their beloved last minute seal games. After some time of switching between the two another vote could be launched to rack up some feedback, how has it been, which system they enjoy the most and see, where majority falls in or if indeed the best way to continue might still be to switch between both.
I don't think that we should stick to one system, since it appears that point system would upset many people, but at the same time people that enjoy points system are also upset if it doesn't get introduced. Sure, you can't please everyone, but I honestly think that my middle ground would work very fine for both sides and everyone could enjoy the mode that they like the most. What do you think about this, Venci?![]()
