First of all, Soler, you are lucky that Dimer had kind enough heart to let you hang around here. You are in no position to suggest anything like this, 1 hand is not enough to count how many times you have been banned for insulting staff members. Which brings me to interesting point. Maybe you see that we "treat you like garbage", because you treated us like that? Attitude creates attitude. Learn to act in respectful manner and redeem your actions from the past and only then talk about receiving any respect back. If you didn't know, that is a two way street. Not to mention, that you openly spreading hate about Nikki, not for the first time in these past days / weeks, can be used as grounds to place you on another permanent ban, but I won't do that. Yet. If I see any kind of hate or hate spreading against any of staff members from your side again, your account will never see other tag than banned. Enough is enough. Let's hope that we won't come to it.
Now, to the point of this thread. This is the most ridiculous idea ever, fueled by those, who have hatred against staff for the simple fact of doing their job. As many have already stated, players have personal vendetta against Staff same as any criminals hate police. I think we all know that reason and I don't have to explain myself here. Having criminals vote who the police is sounds pretty stupid, doesn't it? Everything is simple, chain of command. RESiSTANT answers for me and SGMs, SGMs answer for GMs and EMs, I answer for SMods, Mods and SMods answer for Mods, meaning that this chain of command ensures that correct actions are taken in each and every occasion, or fixed if incorrect action has been taken. There have been valid reports and RESiSTANT has taken action, even given final warning, but these valid reports are so rare that Rick from "Pawn Stars" wants to make an offer on them. Rest of the reports are there simply because we dared to do our job and punish those who think that they are above the rule. Guess what, nobody is, even Staff. This "Raising against staff" that can be seen lately, the loudest speakers are those who have been punished the most for their actions. Coincidence? Not at all. If there are legit proof of inappropriate action / power abuse from any of the Staff Team, it must be reported, but you must also be able to evaluate if you are acting for the greater good or for self interest and simple hatred. Report made on clouded sight will be nothing more than clown fiesta and will be simply denied. No other way around it.
I've told this several times, but I will keep repeating myself. Why don't people that obey the rules scream? Why is everything fine for them? Most say, that it's because they are afraid or don't want to come forward, but that is the saddest excuse I've seen. They have nothing to come forward with, because they treat us with respect, so we treat them back with respect, as I mentioned earlier, two way street. If you demand things or try to defy our every word, of course at some point you will be treated badly, we are all human and we, being staff, also can't always keep our mouths shut when getting badmouthed or simply constantly judged in negative way because we enforce rules. It gets under the skin at some points, because all we do here, we do for the community, for it to grow better day by day, but when some little, arrogant, ungrateful trouble makers keep on ranting that we are worse than a plague for millionth time, it just makes some hit the desk and give back the favor. Even in such cases, the rest of staff team see that and tell them that it was not the right thing to do and it is talked out within. WE ARE ALSO HUMAN. Don't treat us like garbage and you won't ever feel like you are treated in the same way.
To add, you only see your side of story, you never think about how it is from our perspective. You sometimes see us answer impatiently or rude to someone in shoutbox or in thread and all you see it that one fact, you don't see, that we have told something to the subject 5 times via PM and they still ignore it, you don't see that we have been patient for so damn long, even not following banning procedures, giving simple warnings and chances for subject to understand and listen to what we say without receiving a punishment. Sometimes we run out of patience and lash out, that our attempt and work we have put in is for nothing. Would you like that someone destroys something that you have been working on for so long? We give out so many chances to both players and forum users to get away without punishment, but what we get back for it is full face of spit, so we just have no other choice than to act on it. It's just sad that you act like this, really. Don't respect us if you can't, at least respect and value the job that we do for you, to make this server better, because we do that in our own free time and we are not getting paid for it. If I could do this as 8 hour job Monday to Friday while actually being paid, believe me, I would, but it's not the case, we give out our everything for you guys, but you pay us back with threads such as this and screaming at us because we punish you for breaking rules.
Long story short, there are 2 sides to every story and respect is a two way street, if you can't understand or reject to understand how it is from our perspective and if you decide not to respect us, you will always feel the cold attitude from our side as well, because we don't have to respect you if you don't respect us, that goes for everyone, so if you see us lash out at someone, don't automatically assume that we are bad, give a thought about what has the user done to deserve that.
This goes without saying, but just so everyone understands: Denied and never to be implemented by any means.
